MBIE is seeking feedback to inform further advice to the Government on proposed changes to the Skilled Migrant Category residence visa.

The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment began a 4 year pilot of the Global Impact Visa (GIV) in mid-2017. An evaluation of the pilot was commenced in late-2017. The purpose of the evaluation was to assess the implementation, outputs and early outcomes of the Global Impact Visa pilot.
We survey recent migrants about their experiences of life in New Zealand and report on their settlement outcomes. We also survey New Zealanders about their perceptions of migrants and immigration to better understand community attitudes.
We are seeking feedback on whether the work health and safety regulatory system is currently meeting its objective.
