Temporary migrant worker exploitation research programme: quantitative findings

This main research report provides insights into migrant worker and employers of migrant workers’ mindsets and to understand how to better reach employers and workers who are at higher risk of exploitation. The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) commissioned Kantar Public (now Verian) to undertake the research. This research released in 2022 is accompanied by four summary “snapshot findings”, released in the same year.

Construction sector community research – Audience and communication channels

The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) commissioned BERL to undertake research on how Immigration New Zealand (INZ) communicates with migrant workers who are coming into New Zealand on a variety of visas to work in the construction industry. This research focuses on audiences, communication channels and processes used by INZ.
