The Government has announced a $5 million investment in a new Centre Court roof for Auckland’s Manuka Doctor Arena, as part of its work to maintain events and tourism infrastructure.
Stream Two has up to $9.939 million available for allocation. Expressions of Interest closed on 1 September 2023. Full Applications must be received by 15 December 2023.
The $50 million Regional Events Fund is designed to stimulate domestic tourism and travel between regions through holding events. This is intended to support the tourism and events sector, and replace some of the spending from international tourists due to the border closure as a result of COVID-19.
The Innovation Programme for Tourism Recovery is a contestable fund for projects that will have meaningful impact across the tourism system.
The Events Boost Fund is a one-off $10 million fund which aims to increase international visitation and drive economic activity in the short-term through supporting the growth and promotion of events.
