ACC is required to undertake a regular review of the regulated amounts it is liable to pay towards the cost of injury treatment, given cost pressures in the health sector, and make a recommendation to the Minister for ACC. The Minister has accepted ACC’s proposed increases for treatment rates and MBIE consulted on the proposal on behalf of the Minister.
The consultation period closed on 13 December 2019, and the submissions we received are available to view below. We received 19 submissions in total (two of which were made in confidence). Please note that some personal details have been removed from the submissions at the request of the submitters.
Progress in finalising the outcome of the consultation was delayed by COVID-19. Cabinet has yet to make a final decision on the recommendations.
