The Parliamentary Counsel Office and the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment are seeking feedback on the Partnership Law Bill before it is introduced to Parliament.

The Partnership Law Bill revises the Partnership Act 1908. This Act is old and uses out-of-date language. Revision will make the Act more accessible for individuals and partnerships.

The exposure draft has been prepared for public review so that feedback from interested parties can be used to improve the Bill before introduction.

The Partnership Law Bill is part of the current revision programme under the Legislation Act 2012. The purpose of the revision programme is to revise Acts to make them more accessible and readable and easier to understand.
